Tell it to your heart
innamorati di New York City

rise
Così
va il mondo
Non puoi mai sapere
Dove mettere tutta la tua fede
E dove ti porterà
Non puoi mai sapere
Dove mettere tutta la tua fede
E dove ti porterà
Mi
solleverò
Bruciando dei buchi neri nei ricordi bui
Mi solleverò
Trasformando gli errori in oro
Bruciando dei buchi neri nei ricordi bui
Mi solleverò
Trasformando gli errori in oro
Così
passa il tempo
Troppo veloce da domare
Improvvisamente ingoiato dai segni
Ma guarda un po'
Troppo veloce da domare
Improvvisamente ingoiato dai segni
Ma guarda un po'
Mi
solleverò
Troverò la mia direzione magneticamente
Mi solleverò
Giocherò il mio asso nella manica

One Way Trigger
A decade after kicking off the revival of early '70s garage rock, The Strokes are plunging further into the world of synthesizers that began in the '80s.
(billboard.com)
The New York City band -- who is working on their fifth studio album -- has dropped a new single, "One Way Trigger," which marries crunching guitars, looping rhythms and singer Julian Casablancas' trademark voice with a whole lot of MIDI.
The middle of the past decade saw synth rock brought back by bands such as The Killers (and the return of original purveyors such as New Order), though it has somewhat fallen by the wayside in recent years. The Strokes played with it a bit on 2011's Angles, and now they've jumped full-tilt into the electronic abyss.

NFC CHAMPS: 49ers are Super Bowling
ATLANTA – The 49ers have done this before, but not in a long time.
And never like this.
The franchise that pioneered the West Coast Offense and provided some of the most enduring throws-and-catches in NFL playoff history secured its first Super Bowl berth in 18 years Sunday by preventing a potential pass completion.
After 58-plus exhilarating minutes, the 49ers beat the Falcons, 28-24, after linebacker NaVorro Bowman reached over Atlanta wide receiver Roddy White and batted down and a 4th-and-4 pass from San Francisco’s 10-yard line with just over a minute left.
A year after losing a heartbreaker in the NFC title game, the 49ers won a heart-stopper that included the biggest comeback in NFC Championship Game history...

The Great Defender (Down At The Arcade)
Down at the arcade the defender is there
Down off of broadway he's there playing his games
It's very dangerous
Putting money down on robotron
Oh, i'm the great defender
And i really know just how to get along
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Oh, i'm the great defender
And i really think i've got it made
A fistful of quarters, a fifty dollar stake
Life is a gamble on video tape
I called a disc jockey
To dedicate a song to blair
It's the temps. singing "i'll be there"
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Oh, i'm the great defender
And i really think i've got it made
The president called to give me the news
I've been awarded the nobel price in rhythm and blues
And stevie wonder
Wants to record one of my songs
Oh, i'm the great defender
And i really know just how to get along
Oh, i'm the great defender, listen to my song
I really hope you like it, it isn't very long
It's rooted in the 50s
But its heart's in 1984
And if you really like it
Then i sing it for you once more
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Oh, i'm the great defender
And i really think i've got it made
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade, down at the arcade
Down at the arcade
Down at the arcade

Chattanooga Choo Choo
Pardon me, boy
Is that the Chattanooga choo choo?
Track twenty-nine
Boy, you can gimme a shine
I can afford
To board a Chattanooga choo choo
I've got my fare
And just a trifle to spare
You leave the Pennsylvania Station 'bout a quarter to four
Read a magazine and then you're in Baltimore
Dinner in the diner
Nothing could be finer
Than to have your ham an' eggs in Carolina
When you hear the whistle blowin' eight to the bar
Then you know that Tennessee is not very far
Shovel all the coal in
Gotta keep it rollin'
Woo, woo, Chattanooga there you are
There's gonna be
A certain party at the station
Satin and lace
I used to call "funny face"
She's gonna cry
Until I tell her that I'll never roam
So Chattanooga choo choo
Won't you choo-choo me home?
Chattanooga choo choo
Won't you choo-choo me home?
Is that the Chattanooga choo choo?
Track twenty-nine
Boy, you can gimme a shine
I can afford
To board a Chattanooga choo choo
I've got my fare
And just a trifle to spare

Revolution
Stranger in a Strange Land - Straniero in Terra Straniera

camera
From
the inside room when the front room greeting
Becomes
your special book, it was simple then.
When
the party lulls, if we fall by the side.
Will
you be remembered? Will she be remembered?
Alone
in a crowd, a bartered lantern borrowed.
If
I'm to be your camera, then who will be your face?
I
fell by you bed once, I didn't want to tell you.
I
should keep myself in between the pages
Of
the green light room if we fall by the side.
Will
you be remembered? Will she be remembered?
Alone
in a crowd, a bartered lantern borrowed.
If
I'm to be your camera, then who will be your face?
From
the inside room when the front room greeting
Becomes
your special book, it was simple then.
When
the party lulls, if we fall by the side.
I
still like you, can you remember?
Alone
in a crowd, a bartered lantern borrowed.
If
I'm to be your camera, then who will be your face?
Alone
in a crowd, a bartered lantern borrowed.
If
I'm to be your camera, then who will be your face?

A Visit from St. Nicholas
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro' the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar plums danc'd in their heads, ...
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar plums danc'd in their heads, ...

Been There Done That
I was
dreaming
It's a
hundred and ninety degrees
We
were crawling around on our knees
Till
the sun came up at quarter to three
But
the time we had
Dirty
clothes and dirt on our walls
Swinging
on the bathroom doors
Thinking
we were having a ball
Until
somebody said they'd
Been
there, done that
Been
there, don't wanna go back
Been
there, done that
Been
there, don't wanna go back
Yesterday
I called you on the telephone
To
tell you I was feeling alone
Where
you been for the last few days?
I want
you back
Put my
feet back on the ground
I
don't need the lost and found
I need
somebody to tell me when I've
Been
there, done that
Been
there, don't wanna go back
Been
there, done that
Been
there, don't wanna go back
A
broken heart
Won't
get you much further than a cold heart
We're
getting, getting better, we're running back
Running
back, back to you and I'm feeling that
You're
the money or the good times
When
I've been there...

Synchronicity II
Another suburban family morning
Grandmother screaming at the wall
We have to shout above the din of our Rice Crispies
We can't hear anything at all
Mother chants her litany of boredom and frustration
But we know all her suicides are fake
Daddy only stares into the distance
There's only so.much heartache he can take
Many miles away
Something crawls from the slime
At the bottom of a dark Scottish lake
Another industrial ugly morning
The factory belches filth into the sky
He walks unhindered through the picket lines today
He doesn't think to wonder why
The secretaries pout and preen like
cheap tarts in a red light street
But all he ever thinks to do is watch
And every single meeting with his so-called superior
Is a humiliating kick in the crotch
Many miles away
Something crawls to the surface
Of a dark Scottish loch
Another working day has ended
Only the rush hour hell to face
Packed like lemmings into shiny metal boxes
Contestants in a suicidal race
Daddy grips the wheel and stares alone into the distance
He knows that something somewhere has to break
He sees the family home now looming in his headlights
The pain upstairs that makes his eyeballs ache
Many miles away
There's a shadow on the door
Of a cottage on the shore
Of a dark Scottish lake
Many miles away, many miles away

Quicksand
I'm
closer to the Golden Dawn
Immersed
in Crowley's uniform
Of
imagery
I'm
living in a silent film
Portraying
Himmler's
sacred realm
Of
dream reality
I'm
frightened by the total goal
Drawing
to the ragged hole
And I
ain't got the power anymore
No I
ain't got the power anymore
I'm
the twisted name
on
Garbo's eyes
Living
proof of
Churchill's
lies
I'm
destiny
I'm
torn between the light and dark
Where
others see their targets
Divine
symmetry
Should
I kiss the viper's fang
Or
herald loud
the
death of Man
I'm
sinking in the quicksand
of my
thought
And I
ain't got the power anymore
Don't
believe in yourself
Don't
deceive with belief
Knowledge
comes
with
death's release
I'm
not a prophet
or a
stone age man
Just a
mortal
with
the potential of a superman
I'm
living on
I'm
tethered to the logic
of
Homo Sapien
Can't
take my eyes
from
the great salvation
Of
bullshit faith
If I
don't explain what you ought to know
You
can tell me all about it
On,
the next Bardo
I'm
sinking in the quicksand
of my
thought
And I
ain't got the power anymore

Buffalo Bill a Brescia!
W. F. Cody “Buffalo Bill”.

2001: Odissea nello spazio - A. C. Clarke (1968)
