'Do not go gentle into that good night' - Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

“There’s a bit of magic in everything and then some loss to even things out”

Ogni storia è differente, siamo tutti impenetrabili in fondo in fondo.

Ciascuno merita rispetto. Se ne potrebbe parlare all'infinito.

You know her life was saved by rock 'n' roll diceva Lou Reed.

Cito ancora Lou Reed: “There’s a bit of magic in everything and then some loss to even things out” - “C’è un poco di magia in ogni cosa e un po’ di perdita, per compensare le cose”...

... la grande bellezza ...!!!

DEAR LISTENER: ALL PRAISE BE TO GOD TO WHOM ALL PRAISE IS DUE.  Let us pursue Him in the righteous path. Yes it is true; "seek and ye shall find." Only through Him can we know the most wondrous bequeathal. During the year 1957, I experienced, by the grace of God, a spiritual awakening which was to lead me to a richer, fuller, more productive life. At that time, in gratitude, I humbly asked to be given the means and privilege to make others happy through music. I feel this has been granted through His grace. ALL PRAISE TO GOD.
As time and events moved on, a period of irresolution did prevail. I entered into a phase which was contradictory to the pledge and away from the esteemed path; but thankfully, now and again through the unerring and merciful hand of God, I do perceive and have been duly re-informed of His OMNIPOTENCE, and of our need for, and dependence on Him. At this time I would like to tell you that NO MATTER WHAT ... IT IS WITH GOD. HE IS GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL. HIS WAY IS IN LOVE, THROUGH WHICH WE ALL ARE. IT IS TRULY – A LOVE SUPREME – .
This album is a humble offering to Him. An attempt to say "THANK YOU GOD" through our work, even as we do in our hearts and with our tongues. May He help and strengthen all men in every good endeavor.
The music herein is presented in four parts. The first is entitled "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT", the second, "RESOLUTION", the third, "PURSUANCE", and the fourth and last part is a musical narration of the theme, "A LOVE SUPREME" which is written in the context; it is entitled "PSALM".
In closing, I would like to thank the musicians who have contributed their much appreciated talents to the making of this album and all previous engagements.
To Elvin, James and McCoy, I would like to thank you for that which you give each time you perform on your instruments. Also, to Archie Shepp (tenor saxist) and to Art Davis (bassist) who both recorded on a track that regrettably will not be released at this time; my deepest appreciation for your work in music past and present. In the near future,
I hope that we will be able to further the work that was started here.
Thanks to producer Bob Thiele; to recording engineer, Rudy Van Gelder; and the staff of ABC-Paramount records. Our appreciation and thanks to all people of good will and good works the world over, for in the bank of life is not good that investment which surely pays the highest and most cherished dividends.
May we never forget that in the sunshine of our lives, through the storm and after the rain – it is all with God – in all ways and forever.

ALL PRAISE TO GOD.

With love to all, I thank you,

A Love Supreme

I will do all I can to be worthy of Thee O Lord.
It all has to do with it.
Thank you God.
Peace.
There is none other.
God is. It is so beautiful.
Thank you God. God is all.
Help us to resolve our fears and weaknesses.
Thank you God.
In You all things are possible.
We know. God made us so.
Keep your eye on God.
God is. He always was. He always will be.
No matter what...it is God.
He is gracious and merciful.
It is most important that I know Thee.
Words, sounds, speech, men, memory, thoughts,
fears and emotions – time – all related ...
all made from one ... all made in one.
Blessed be His name.
Thought waves – heat waves-all vibrations –
all paths lead to God. Thank you God.

His way ... it is so lovely ... it is gracious.
It is merciful – thank you God.
One thought can produce millions of vibrations
and they all go back to God ... everything does.
Thank you God.
Have no fear ... believe ... thank you God.
The universe has many wonders. God is all. His way ... it is so wonderful.
Thoughts – deeds – vibrations, etc.
They all go back to God and He cleanses all.
He is gracious and merciful...thank you God.
Glory to God ... God is so alive.
God is.
God loves.
May I be acceptable in Thy sight.
We are all one in His grace.
The fact that we do exist is acknowledgement of Thee O Lord.
Thank you God.
God will wash away all our tears ...
He always has ...
He always will.
Seek Him everyday. In all ways seek God everyday.
Let us sing all songs to God
To whom all praise is due ... praise God.
No road is an easy one, but they all
go back to God.
With all we share God.
It is all with God.
It is all with Thee.
Obey the Lord.
Blessed is He.
We are from one thing ... the will of God ... thank you God.
I have seen God – I have seen ungodly –
none can be greater – none can compare to God.
Thank you God.
He will remake us ... He always has and He always will.
It is true – blessed be His name – thank you God.
God breathes through us so completely ...
so gently we hardly feel it ... yet,
it is our everything.
Thank you God.
ELATION-ELEGANCE-EXALTATION
All from God.
Thank you God. Amen.

call on me (the Raven - Lou Reed)

Caught in the crossbow of ideas and journeys
sit here reliving the other self’s mournings
Caught in the crossbow of ideas and dawnings
stand I

Reliving the past of the maddening impulse
violent upheaval, the pure driven instinct
The pure driven murder, the attraction of daring
stand I

Why didn’t you call on me
why didn’t you call on me
Why didn’t you call on me
why didn’t you call

Rowena:
A wild being from birth
my spirit spurns control
wondering the wide earth
searching for my soul
Dimly peering
I would surely find
what could there be more purely bright
in truth’s day-star

Why didn’t you call on me
why didn’t you call, call on me
Why didn’t you call on me
why didn’t you call

Why didn’t you call on me
why didn’t you call on me
Why didn’t you call on me
why didn’t you call

Jim Jarmusch + The Stooges = what else?

da gqitalia.it:

James Newell Osterberg, così è registrato all’anagrafe, è rilassato, guascone, ammiccante, pronto a raccontarsi a favore di telecamera.

God save the Stooges, o quel che resta.

'Lucky Man' - Emerson, Lake & Palmer

He had white horses
And ladies by the score
All dressed in satin
And waiting by the door

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

 White lace and feathers
They made up his bed
A gold covered mattress
On which he was led

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

 He went to fight wars
For his country and his king
Of his honor and his glory
The people would sing

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

 A bullet had found him
His blood ran as he cried
No money could save him
So he laid down and he died

Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was

... 'Cause when the goin' gets tough . . . the tough get goin'

Bluto: What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it. He's rolling.
Bluto: And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough . . . the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go! C'mon!

ti amerò fino a martedì (love you till tuesday)

Just look through your window, look who sits outside
Little me is waiting, standing through the night
When you’ll walk through your door I’ll wave my flag and shout
Oh, beautiful baby
My burning desire started on Sunday
Give me your heart and I’ll love you till Tuesday
Da da da dum
Who’s that hiding in the apple tree, clinging to a branch
Don’t be afraid it’s only me, hoping for a little romance
If you lie beneath my shade, I’ll keep you nice and cool
Oh, beautiful baby
I was very lonely till I met you on Sunday
My passion’s never-ending and I’ll love you till Tuesday
Da da da dum
Let the wind blow through your hair, be nice to the big blue sea
Don’t be afraid of the man in the moon, because it’s only me
I shall always watch you until my love runs dry
Oh, beautiful baby
My heart’s a flame, I’ll love you till Tuesday
My head’s in a whirl and I’ll love you till Tuesday
Love, love, love, love you till Tuesday
Da da da dum
Well, I might stretch it till Wednesday

Wow-wow, I wanna be black
Oh, I don’t wanna be a fucked up

I just wanna have a stable of foxy little whores
yeah-yeah, I wanna be black
Oh, I wanna be black
yeah-yeah, I wanna be black
I wanna be black
wanna be like Martin Luther King
and get myself shot in spring
lead a whole generation too
And fucked up the Jews
I wanna be black, I wanna be like Malcolm X
and cast a hex
over President Kennedy’s tomb
And have a big prick too
Oh, I don’t wanna be a fucked up

World Leader Pretend - R.E.M.

I sit at my table and wage war on myself
It seems like it's all...it's all for nothing
I know the barricades,
And I know the mortar in the wall breaks
I recognize the weapons,
I used them well

This is my mistake.
Let me make it good
I raised the wall,
and I will be the one to knock it down

I've a rich understanding of my finest defences
I proclaim that claims are left unstated,
I demand a rematch
I decree a stalemate
I divine my deeper motives
I recognize the weapons
I've practiced them well.
I fitted them myself

It's amazing what devices you can sympathize...empathize
This is my mistake.
Let me make it good
I raised the walls,
and I will be the one to knock it down

Reach out for me and hold me tight.
Hold that memory
Let my machine talk to me.
Let my machine talk to me

This is my world
And I am the world leader pretend
This is my life
And this is my time
I have been given the freedom
To do as I see fit
It's high time I've razed the walls
That I've constructed

It's amazing what devices you can sympathize...emapathize
This is my mistake.
Let me make it good
I raised the walls,
and I will be the one to knock it down

You fill in the mortar You fill in the harmony You fill in the mortar

I raised the walls and I’m the only one I will be the one to knock it down

Who can it be knocking at my door?
Go away, don't come 'round here no more
Can't you see that it's late at night?

Stay away, don't you invade my home

... Where the sad-eyed prophet says that no man comes ...

... With your silhouette when the sunlight dims
Into your eyes where the moonlight swims
And your matchbook songs and your gypsy hymns
Who among them would try to impress you?
Sad-eyed lady of the lowlands
Where the sad-eyed prophet says that no man comes
My warehouse eyes, my Arabian drums
Should I leave them by your gate
Or, sad-eyed lady, should I wait? ...

(Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands - Bob Dylan)
